You want to be Wealthy but what are you doing about it? Well just sitting here wishing things were different won’t make a difference. You have to actually do something and go out there and get what you want.
Now you know it’s not going to be that easy, but taking that first step is the beginning.
Start by setting some goals – decide exactly how much you want and set a figure. Write it down and put it where you can see it every day.
Be realistic – don’t ask for the moon, choose an amount which is possible.
Set a date by when you want this amount to have come to you, bearing in mind it may not arrive in one lump sum, but in amounts over a period of time.
Make the amount real by clearly knowing exactly what you are going to spend it on. Some people help this by creating a Dream Board and put on it pictures of the house, the car, the clothes, the holiday etc that they are aiming for.
Now take a good hard look at your finances! Are you in debt, a spender, a saver or an investor?
If you are in Debt or a Spender – then you need to stop spending so much and learn to SAVE money. It does not matter how much you save, it is the fact that you are reversing the trend and looking to put some money away every single week and month.
If you are already a Saver – then you need to learn to Invest – for this is where true wealth is created. The sooner you learn this the quicker you will reach your goals. Money creates money. You need to allocate a portion of your savings to work for you. And it will – far harder than you realise.
If you already are an Investor – then you need to look to see what your investments are doing for you. What is your return on your investments (ROI)? Are they really working for you or are you working for them? Look at stocks and shares (you can make money here which ever way they go, up, down or sideways). Look at property (great for long term gains) buy property to rent to others – remember everyone needs somewhere to live. Make sure the income you receive is more than enough to pay the mortgage. Look to buy the property for as little as possible.
Next you need to look at ways to increase your income, so that you can save more and invest more. The main trap that most of us fall into is that we exchange our time for money. In other words we work for someone else and we exchange our time and skills for a salary. The company we work for make the profit – which we never get a share of. How much better would it be if you worked for yourself?
Ever dreamed of starting your own business? Add this into your goals and put it on your dream board. It is the quickest way to break out of the cycle of a 9 to 5 job, which you do for 48 weeks a year, year in and out. Working for yourself can give you the freedom you are looking for. Start research now about what sort of business you could start now, today working from home. There are hundreds of opportunities out there, one or more of which is right for you.
However a word of warning – there is no such thing as a Get Rich Quick scheme – so don’t be fooled. Working for your self is hard work especially if you are starting small and doing it in addition to your normal day job – but it is worthwhile.
Wherever you start from in your desire to achieve wealth you need to keep focused on your ultimate goal. Once you achieve it, set another goal, and another. Never be afraid of going after what you want – you never know you might just achieve it.
Remember “If you always do what you have always done – then you will always get the same result.”
Make small changes to what you are doing now, these small changes will accumulate over a period of time and make a huge difference to you and your way of life
